An Agile principle is a guideline for agile work.
Sometimes agile principles are also referred to as a method. The actual misuse of the term method for principles is partly deliberately used by the representatives of agile methods.
In the case of heavy processes, principles are overlaid by extensive method descriptions, and the principles often fall into oblivion. In addition, processes were previously mainly defined by methods, not by principles. The collection of principles as methods is intended to give more weight to the principles instead of formal methods. The Agile Manifesto lists twelve principles.
